Happy Birthday America

I don't care where you live in this great country of ours, if you watch the evening news, it's just depressing. Everything horrible that can possible happen, has, only the worst of the worst seems to make it to the nightly news. It would appear that the future of our fine country is nothing but doom and gloom. Ahhhh, but my friends, I have seen the future....it is sitting at my kitchen table....and it looks good. It is promising, it is bright and strong. We also have to thank the people how have come before us that have done their part to make this a great country to live in who have shown their light so brightly. Like our great grandpa Bebop who has served his country so well. Today we thank you Bebop, happy birthday America!! So to those polished, smooth, news people..... come on over to our house and just see whats REALLY going on in this great country of ours!!

Good night....

We have a very set night time ritual at our house. It really got put into place when I was pregnant with Elliot and I couldn't bend over the tub to wash Audra anymore. That's when Dad stepped in. Since then he has become bath time bed time guy. It's his time to love on the girls, play with them, spank them (ummm hummm, it isn't always giggles around here!!), tickle them, kiss on them, love them.
Everybody love to get in on the action and get a little "daddy time".

And I mean EVERYBODY!!!!!

Aunt Pam Day

What goes best with birthdays??? ICE CREAM!!!!
This is the CUTEST thing on wheels!!!! It was parked along Congress St. when we were out on the town with Aunt Pam. Now that is my idea of camping, you've got an AC unit and a giant cup cake strapped to the roof of your trail!

Audra in her new cowgirl hat. She was, for some reason, I don't remember what brought it up, talking about how she didn't have a cowgirl hat.....guess what we found!!! And it w as PINK too, BONUS!!!!

So some of you may think that today is simply Wednesday, July 2nd. Well let me inform you, it is really Aunt Pam Day (Happy Birthday!!!!!!) To celebrate we spent the day with our great aunt (I mean this literally AND figuratively) cruising South Congress, doing a little shopping and then stopped for a great lunch at a place called Texas French Bread. Now a birthday just wouldn't be a birthday without a little ice cream so we had a little of that too. As the can see, the girls had a real rough time!! I don't know how much of her ice cream Aunt Pam actually got to eat!! It was a good day, we love our Great (and great) Aunt Pam. Happy Aunt Pam Day!!!!!

No farms, no food.....

Ahhhhhhhhh, yes.....very wise.

This would be my loot from the Farmer's Market, lunch was mighty tasty!
Our latest outing in the New World, was to the Farmer's Market in downtown Austin. Lots of really tasty treats. Everything from cheeses, pastries, root beer on tap, flowers, fruits and veggies, pizza, live music and local coffees. Austin is big on supporting local farmers so everything was grown within 100 miles and most was organic. Someone even tried to recruit Newt for a Green Peace mission, he said he already had accepted a calling to the land of Zany. It was HOT, it is after all Texas, but we had a mighty tasty lunch that day and will be going back for some more of those yummy cucumbers!
