Sprinkles, cupcakes, icing...oh my!

This Christmas one of Audra's gifts was a cupcake making kit...
we just had to try it out.

So we had some of our favorite girls come over, and a spot of tea...just delightful it was.

This is Miss Mandy, Elliot's favorite person in the whole....entire....world right now. Elliot was at her house once and Mandy gave her some chocolate milk. Done deal. True love forever.

Avery, our sweet little friend (Miss Mandy's daughter)

Cupcake pretties.

Danielle, Audra's best buddy from preschool came to join us.

The girls made some fancy pants cupcakes...yummy.

Very....serious....work.

And had a spot of tea....(milk).

It was a very tasty, special day indeed. Thank you Grandma Joy for the fun cupcake set!

Happy New Year...

So we had some friends and loved ones over for a little New Years Day brunch today...
there was food piled high...

two coffee pots gurgling away giving us much needed fuel for the day.
Today was special because this is why we came home.
To love and be loved by all these fine folks...

The Schwarz family...

the Hallsted family...

yes, you too dad...

the Mahurin family...

the Anderson family.
When we were looking for a place this past summer I had one simple request: That we find a house we could make into a home that we could love on all our friends and family in. It didn't have to be fancy or brand new, it just had to have an always open front door and lots of love coming from the oven. Thank you friends for all the good food, good company and great memories. What a way to start the new year.
