Giving thanks....

We cooked
we laughed
we ran around the house.
We ate
we drank
we talked.
We cleaned up
we played
we ate some more.
We gave thanks.

Landa Park

Landa Park is in the lovely little town of New Braunfels, our first home when we moved to Texas in 1998. We recently meet up with Aunt Pam for a picnic on a beautiful fall day. This park is really nice, and it has some of the fattest, bravest, happiest squirrels and ducks you have ever seen. The girls ran, and ran, and ran...when we got home they slept and slept, and slept and slept! Thanks for the fun day Aunt Pam!

The little photographer...

Here are some more pictures from the budding photographer. My favorite thing is the way Audra gets adults to make total idiots of themselves for her camera...as Audra would say, "GOTCHA."

Dear Santa...

At this rental house we get EVERY imaginable catalog as many folks have passed through these doors. The other day we were driving around and had picked up the mail. The girls were looking through what had been in our mail box as we cruised around town. I kept hearing, "babee, babee, babee, babee" from the back seat. I turned around to see this, with a look of glee in her eye, as if she knew in just 36 days, 4 hours and 28 minutes it would be Christmas day....and she was shopping!!!

Zilker Botanical Gardens

Our latest adventure was to the Zilker Botanical Gardens here in Austin. We ran, we played, we looked at all the pretty flowers. They also had a special dino exhibit going on, we even found a "Z" dino! Sunshine, flowers, two silly little girls...a good day.

"Momma's taking us to the zoo tomorrow"....

A MOST perfect trip to the zoo we did have this week. Weather was great, kids were great, company was great!Audra and her "men" Caleb and Noah
the hippos are mommy's favorite animal to visit

hippo foot...Elliot foot

Elliot really liked this guy...she kept saying, "RAAAAAAAR"
this "little" fella was born just five days before Audra, they are both growing up quite nicely

those little legs worked SO hard to keep up with the big kids
leaping lily pads
munch'n lunch
a boat load

Every night we sing songs with Audra after she is tucked in bed. That evening she wanted to sing Happy Happy Home. I said, "okay, who is in our family tonight?" We started with, "Caleb in the family, happy, happy home," then went to his little brother Noah, next came mom Jennie, then their dad Jeremy (Germany as Audra calls him). So I guess it's official Simpsons, you're family now!

The neighborhood...

As the weather has gotten cooler, we have pulled the Radio Flyer wagon out of the garage. Every afternoon after nap time we load up and head to the mail box. We make a big loop around the neighborhood and this is what we see....

...finally...some autumn leaves... ...hey there...

...lawn art...
...cement heart...

...kids...

...yup, we live next to a REAL fireman...
...alot of this around here...
...butterflies...
...and back home again.
