The garden...late evening after the rain yesterday.

Mother Nature has been abundantly generous this spring.

On the day that you were born...

At this house we'll take pretty much any reason to have a party...eat a little cake...maybe some ice cream too.

And if that day happens to be my baby's birthday...then a delicious pavlova should just hit the spot.

We partied with family for Kendall and Amelia's birthdays together...

but on the day of Amelia's birthday we had a special little something just for her...

she shared with the rest of us...

wasn't that nice of her.

When we sang to her she pretended to be all kinds of shy...

This spring we got to head up to Seattle to meet up with the Taylor/Gildersleeve family for a few days.  In true northwest fashion, it rained.  But the hotel had a pool so the kiddos all played INSIDE in the water.  

This city is just amazing.  To smell the ocean, visit the sea otters, eat fresh halibut.  To see dearest friends...to meet their children that you have never met before.  Perfect.
