Girls Weekend PDX 08

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~Albert Schweitzer

Girls Weekend started last year when Shelle got married. We all had so much fun being reunited, we knew we had to do it again. This year we met in Portland, Oregon. We journeyed from Arizona, Montana, Texas and Washington to take on the beautiful town of Portland. We had good food, good coffee, good shopping and oh did we laugh, like silly junior high girls, loud and uncontrollably. These women fill my soul, remind me who I really am, and make me want to be the woman God intended me to be. Thank you Shelle, Mandy and Britta.

The Green, Green Grass of Home

So it's been a while since my last post due to the fact that I am far away from my right hand man/computer expert/technical guru/husband and my folks computer and I have not been getting along. We apparently were able to work some of our differences out and I have been busy getting caught up in blog land. Here are the latest happenings.....

Missing something???

Can you tell what we're missing?? No water, no problem!! Even after a full day of swimming and playing in the sprinklers...the girls wanted MORE! If they could take a bath out here I think they would!

Summer Time Fun Time

Morning Walk

One of our favorite morning walks has been to Rook's Park. It is a trail for bikers and walkers that meanders along Mill Creek. We saw many of fun things like ducks, wild blackberries, lots of birds and a SNAKE! You will notice there is no picture of the snake as we went RUNNING by with the stroller!! The days have been warm and enjoyed from sun up, to sun down.

Little Farmer

This little city girl has arrived in farm country. Gram has a garden growing right in her back yard. Audra and Grandpa did some harvesting and tonight for supper we had yellow squash from the garden. There are green beans, carrots, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, strawberries, lettuce and cherry tomatoes hard at work for us to enjoy. Yum, summer time!!

Road trip 08

Two little travelers ready for the another day in the car

A stop in Denver to visit Jessy and Erik

Taking a break in Wyoming

Four days and eight states later, we have arrived in God's country!!!!!
