Dot....

Meet Dot...
our sweet new little kitty. She just arrived at our house this week.
Audra has wanted a kitty SO BAD for quite some time.
Any time we go some where that has a cat you have to drag Audra away.
Dottie seems to be quite happy at our house.
She as two very attentive little girls looking after her.
Her favorite spot to sleep is behind the dryer.
Bailey thinks she's just the neatest toy we have ever brought home for him.
A little kitty has never been more loved.

Roots....

This summer we got to go back to family farm where my grandpa was born and raised in Stevenson, WA on the Columbia Gorge.
This walk way leads to the slab where the original farm house used to sit.

I haven't been back here in years, but can remember coming as a little girl with my family.
The old tractor that was used on the land.
Today my great uncle and his wife live here.
My mom and dad got engaged up here and spent part of their honeymoon here.
They went skinny dipping in the pond when my mom was oh so pregnant with me.
Getting to bring another generation back to this land was really special.

I know my girls won't really remember this trip but I have pictures....I can show them and say,"remember when.....

our family roots run deep here...

Life keeps coming....

Life just keeps happening around here if I like it or not.
Today finds us at 11 weeks pregnant.
Still oh, so sick of being sick.
It's kindergarten time at our house.
The garden keeps spitting veggies out at us even though it has been so very, very neglected. And my kids still call me mom even thought it doesn't feel like I act like much of one.
So here is some of the life that has been happening around me.....
