This year Mother's Day was quite special. We got to celebrate with my sister-in-law Carlie who will become a momma for the first time this July. We were joined by her mom and dad, as well as my folks. What a very special day...
we had waffles piled high with things like strawberries, raspberries, whipped cream, fancy syrups, creamed fresh asparagus, oh my!

It's been a while since I got to give my momma a hug on mother's day and both tell and show her that she is loved.
We spent the rest of the day building our planting beds for the vegetable garden and then ended the things in the evening rocking in our new white rocking chairs for our back deck that my folks gave me for mom's day.
It's was a really great Mother's Day.
